We Celebrate Work Anniversaries at ESS

Four employees mark extended years of service

We love to celebrate with our employees for their years of service to Mount Rogers Community Services.

Recently, we celebrated milestones with four of our employees in our Employment Support Services (ESS) program at the Smyth facility in Atkins. We celebrated with cake and service certificates.

From Five to 20 Years of Service

We celebrated with cake and service certificates. Among those we recognized at the Smyth location were:

• Ian Taylor, who works in the commercial area assembling shipping boxes and cleaning display boards. He has worked for us for 20 years. “I like making my own money and the people I work with,” he said.
• Christopher Atkins, who works in the commercial area assembling shipping boxes and cleaning display boards. He has worked for us for 20 years. “I like it – both the people and the job,” he said.
• Charlotte Eller, a sewing repair operator who has worked in the sewing industry most of her career. She has worked for us for 15 years. “I love working with the fabric and enjoy the people here at ESS,” she said.
• Timothy Stables, a sewing machine operator on our new Integrated Head Protection System line. He has worked for us for five years. “I like it because ESS works with my sickness and is willing to make adjustments to my work schedule,” he said.

Our Partnerships

ESS partners with businesses in the area to provide jobs in our work locations. We also work with companies to fulfill orders on contracts with the federal government.

In addition, ESS supports people in:

• Job placement.
• Training.
• Follow-along services for jobs in their home communities through our supported employment program.
